FLASH
Flash is one of the world most popular and widely used web authoring and animation application, almost 90 percent of website on WWW have flash section ( header ,intros, menu,movie player , photogallery) etc.Flash popularity is at it's peak and every day a new technology has been added to flash, Flash is now capable of communicating many languages and scripting languages.Flash is more powerful with actionScript although you need not to know actionScript for basic animations in flash, i would suggest you or let me say i should warn you , you must learn ActionScript.
ActionScript has rules of grammar and punctuation that determine which characters and words are used to create meaning and in which order they can be written,if you are familiar with some computer languages, you must have good understading of these rules ,In ActionScript,a semicolon ends a statement.
You will see on the right bottom,i have mention some basic operators, if you are familiar with any language like c,c++,java,php or c# you must be have good command on using these different operators.

Working with objects in object oriented languages, you might have found object concept too abstract to grasp, flash objects are simple to understand, as all objects have properties and methods, flash movieclip properties and methods are visual and easy to use.while working in flash we basically work with symbols which are the object itself.

symbols in Flash
A symbol is a reusable object,and an instance is an occurrence of a symbol on the Stage.Repeated use of instances does not increase the file size and is a good part of a strategy for keeping a document file size small.Symbols also simplify editing a document;when you edit a symbol,al linstances of the symbol update to reflect the edits.Another benefit of symbols is that they allow you to create sophisticated interactivity.

•Duplicate and modify an instance
•Create a movie clip symbol
•Edit a symbol by adding an effect
